Ecstasy, yeeeeaaaaahhh eeeeyeahhhhhhhh is a video installation employing CGI, AI and archival footage to examine the role nostalgia plays in shaping the contemporary language we use to talk about bodily experience and representation. Floating hands taken from dancers at raves in the 1980’s and early 90’s move in front of a spinning CGI created Bacchus sculpture rendered in silicone purple, an AI generated Bart Simpson voice reads letters written by the artist Michelangelo Buonarroti to his father, and a repeating hand clap sample taken from the iconic Roland 909 techno drum machine plays in the background.
